Permission [to feel good]

Does Feeling Good Feel Wrong?

You have come to believe that struggle and suffering is virtuous and therefore good. (And on many levels you set yourself up to some of that suffering.) On the other hand, you've come to believe that joy, or following one's own bliss, is a sort of decadent thing. If you are joyful and doing what feels good to you, somehow you will be punished for it later, because, "after all, not feeling good must surely be the order of the Universe." We don't know how you get that stuff. You are focused in the most joyful of environments. You are Universal focusers of Energy, and the Energy, itself, that you have to focus toward your individual and collective creative endeavor, is joy itself. It is love itself. The Creative Energy is joy. Source Energy is the only Energy that flows. There's not a Source of dark, there is a Source of light, which you may be allowing or you may not. Well-being flows.

Permission [to be selfish]

If we were standing in your physical shoes, that would be our dominant quest: Entertaining Yourself, pleasing Yourself, connecting with Yourself, being Yourself, enjoying Yourself, loving Yourself. Some say, "Well, Abraham you teach selfishness. And we say, yes we do, yes we do, yes we do, because unless you are selfish enough to reach for that connection, you don't have anything to give anyone, anyway. And when you are selfish enough to make that connection -- you have an enormous gift that you give everywhere you are.

Pay attention

Sometimes you walk into things, that, if you were paying attention, vibrationally, you would know right from the beginning that it wasn't what you are wanting. In most cases, your initial knee-jerk response was a pretty good indicator of how it was going to turn out later. The things that give most of you the most grief are those things that initially you had a feeling response about, but then you talked yourself out of it for one reason or another.

PLACEMAT PROCESS [1]

 

A new process Very fast and very powerful.

We call it The Placemat Process because Jerry and Esther very often do it in the restaurant where they eat . But any paper will do!!

 

 Sit with a big piece of paper before you and draw a line right down the center of the page.

Now on the left side of the page  as a heading write ……….Action[ things that I am working on]

On the right side of the page as a heading write…… “Things I would like the Universe to work on”.

 Now on your side of the page you write anything that you are working on that you are really ready to take action on. On the Universe’s side you write anything you want that you are NOT ready to take action on. Get the sense of it?

 

Esther wrote things on her side of the placemat things like

1 Finish the Sarah book and get it in the hands of the printer.

2.Gather the papers together for the accountant for the IRS reporting.

Or she will write

3 Clean out the drawer in the bathroom that’s been bothering me.

……….or

4 Pick up milk.

 

In other words anything. She doesn’t write everything because many things are routine and many things are in the appointment book. Just those action things that she is wanting to remember to take action on .

On the Universe’s side she writes anything she wants that she is NOT READY to take action on. Like……….

1        Universe , please see to it that our Airline reservations for the remainder of the year are timely and comfortable.

Now if Esther wrote that on her side of the placemat can you imagine the resistance that she would feel?

In the beginning Esther put many more things on her list than the Universe’s because she is accustomed to justifying her experience through action. But after a few days she noticed a lot of things on her list that she wasn’t doing!! In other words day after day there they would be and day after day she wouldn’t do them. Day after day they would bog her down and bother her because she wasn’t doing them.

Can you feel the resistance in that??

Then one day it occurred to her . Abraham said this side of the page is for those things I’m READY to take action on. I am obviously not ready to take action on this or I would have already taken action on it.!

 So then she moved it to the Universe’s side .

“Universe I’m not ready to take action on this. Work on it for a while will you. “And she felt enormous release of resistance.

A very good game is to make a long list. Go home tonight and write down everything you can think of, sit down for 30 minutes and just make a list of everything that you want. Anything you can think off. All those consumer items [laughter] and states of being.

 

In other words write down anything that you want from a new bathroom faucet to World peace. [laughter]. ANYTHING that you want write it down .  Make one list of it [that part of it should take about 15minutes.

 And then go down that list again and say ………….”.a new faucet . Am I ready to take action on that today?” “No. I don’t have the money. I don’t have the time “

“Universe. I’d like a new faucet for the bathroom . Orchestrate it please”

 

 Feel the release of the resistance?

 

Take the next item  and the next item and the next. And unless you are ready to act on it today move it to the Universe’s side .

Place Mat Process [2]

The Place Mat Process is the most effective one that we've seen for getting the day started, and that is where you, on the left side of a page, make your list of things you plan to do today. Be true to yourself about it, don't put 5,000 things on today's list. Don't put more on today's list than you can do, or it defeats you. It makes you feel overwhelmed to begin with. Go through your lists of things. And then on the right side of the page make a list of things that you want, but for whatever reason you're not ready to act on, and just let them come freely from you. Don't carry the list from day to day to day to day. Don't make work of it. Just, every morning, ask yourself "What are some things that I want that I'm not ready to act on? Things that I would like the Universal staff to get going on", and just list those, because making a decision about what you want with an attitude that "it's not for me to do, but I do want it done" is a very good alignment of Energy. Often if you say, "I want to do this" and you know you don't have time, then your Energy is split even when you write it on the list. But if you say, "I want to do this, and while I don't have time, I'm not putting it on my list. I'm just telling the Universe, work on it if you will, please?" Then there's a freedom about it. There's no resistance in the vibration. You're actually doing what Creation is. You're defining what you want and you're staying vibrationally out of the way of it. That's it. Then we would move through our day.

Process

Scripting
Imagine that you are a screen play writer, and you are going to write a
scenario.But first you will identify the characters. So you can identify
this mother who is a strong wanter who has lots of things she wants to do. And
you can describe a character called her son that you can describe as a needy
one,or as a self-sufficient one.

In other words you are writing the script, you get to write it the way
you want to.
This is not a script of observing what has been, this is a script of
telling the Universe how you want it to be, and vibrating that way now you see.
Then you just weave these characters together in a scenario that pleases you.

Now can you hear how in that Scripting, so many of the things that we have
talked about here today would be involved. In other words Scripting is
about using your powers of imagination rather than your habit of observation.
Scripting is a way you direct the energy. Scripting is the excuse you use
to vibrate in harmony with your desire so that you offer a
vibrational output that the Universe will match.

17 second process
 
Esther had 3 almost instant manifestations after Abe suggested to a
lady that she try the to hold a thought for 17 seconds (or
17+17+17+17 = 68seconds) Doing this almost as a game by talking
about 3 subjects that were interesting but which did not carry a
huge emotional charge….

Abe……it was not till then that Esther realised that in less than one
hour of our spending 17 seconds together on those 3 subjects that the
Universe had managed to deliver in dramatic fashion all three
subjects.We encourage you to play this game and we encourage you to
play the game in threes, because if you play it in one or two you
might do as Esther did and miss it altogether. 
 If you will play this
game just a little bit, by taking subjects that are of slight
interest but most importantly subjects that are pure because you have
no contradictory thought about them.The Universe will prove to you in
two or three days time that it is utterly and absolutely and ALWAYS
responsive to your vibration. But the reason that you don't know
that the Universe is responsive to your vibration is because you are
saying "I want a new red car but it's too expensive" and as the
Universe is responding to both vibrations , you end up with no change
whatsoever. You getting the sense of what we are talking about?
When you begin to offer your vibration purely, and you begin to see
the Universe responding to it. In other words if you will just play
this game for two or three days, two wonderful things will happen to
you .

 The first is you will show yourself you do have the ability to
hold your mind on something for 17seconds and if you can do it for
the first 17 you can do it for the second and the third and the
fourth. The other thing that will happen is you will give the
opportunity to the Universe to show you that it is utterly responsive
to your vibration. You're going to learn that you really are a
beaming energy that is being responded too and it's going to give you
a sense of control it's going to give you a sense of being the
deliberate creator that you really are.

17 SECOND PROCESS
We encourage you to play with spending 17 seconds on any topic. If you hold any thought, positive or negative, wanted or not wanted, if you hold a thought purely for 17 seconds, that at the 17 second point, another thought just like it joins it. And as these two thoughts coalesce, there is a combustion. And as these two thoughts combust, they are parlayed into one more evolved, faster vibrating thought. And when it happens, you feel it. It feels like heightened interest or enthusiasm. If you hold that, now more evolved, thought for another 17 seconds, then when you cross that 34 second mark, the same thing happens. Another thought like the more evolved thought now joins it, and there's another combustion point. Only this time, it moves much further than it did the first time, because the two thoughts that combined were bigger to begin with. Purely hold a thought for 17 seconds until it combusts and another thought joins it, and the Energy in that combustion is equivalent to 2,000 action hours. If you work a normal 40 hour a week job, that's about what you work in a year. 17 seconds of pure thought, allowing the combustion, gives you that much Energy. Your action is not very important by comparison. Cross the 34 second mark, and you can multiply your action by ten. That's 20,000 action hours. Cross the 51 second mark, and you can multiply by ten again. That's 200,000 action hours. If you can hold a thought, purely, without contradicting it, until you cross the 68 second mark , that's just four times 17 , you can multiply by ten again. That's over 2,000,000 action hour equivalent. We're talking about accessing the Energy that Creates worlds. And the reason that it is not fathomable to most of you is that most of you don't make it past the eight second mark without contradicting your desire.

When you identify and hold your thought, purely, on any topic for 17 seconds, it is enough to set the Universe into motion. And the Universe , which has infinite ability and resources to match the vibration of your being , will do so. Now, it's happening all of the time, anyway, but most of you are not making the correlation. It isn't until you deliberately hold a thought and then see the Universal response to it that you really begin to understand what's going on.

Play these games of visualization for a few days. It will be such fun for you, and if you will do it, it will give you two very important things. First, it will show you that you can hold a thought for 17 seconds. That's a "biggee", bigger than you know. And the other is, it will show you that the Universe will absolutely, every time, respond to the purity of your thought. Very good.

We were talking with a woman on the telephone the other day about pure thought and she couldn´t really understand what we were talking about. These are difficult concepts when you are accustomed to just thinking about whatever is flashed before you. In other words, most of you as you watch the television, it is much easier just to just observe what someone is offering to you rather than it is to close your eyes and offer your own projection of thought. And so we were wanting to assist her in holding 17 seconds of pure thought. She had three very important issues that were troubling her; financial issue and a health issue and a relationship issue. And we said to her; "Leave those issues aside for a while, because those issues you have practiced your negative thought about them so much, that as you now try to practice positive thought it is still a watered down sort of process. We said to her: "Lets take three subjects that you do not already have a habit of negative thought about". Well, she couldn´t think of any. We said: "Just three subjects, they do not have to be life changing subjects, just three subjects that are of interest, but you do not have a negative habit about". Well, she still couldn´t think of anything so we said: "Lets talk about the subject of blue glass". She said: "What?!?" And we said: "Blue glass. You know, some of it is clear and you can see through it. Some of it is muted or frosted and you can´t see through it. Sometimes it is made into beautiful chandeliers or beautiful windows, or beautiful vases. All kinds are made from this beautiful clear or frosted blue glass". And then we talked about feathers for 17 seconds and butterflies for 17 seconds. And then the telephone call came to an end and Jerry and Esther were in California, they were in San Diego and so they went to La Hoya for lunch. And when they got out of the car, Jerry is walking down the street toward George´s and Esther is walking into a shop and Jerry could not understand why she was taking a detour and Esther did not really understand it either, she just said: "Lets look in here". And so they went in and deep in the shop, Esther found a wall of the most amazing blue glass she had ever seen in her life. Shelf after shelf after shelf of amazing sculptures made of blue glass. Jerry did not understand why Esther was captivated by it because he had not heard the call and Esther did not make the correlation either. And they didn´t buy anything, it wasn´t appropriate for their house, it was just AMAZING blue glass! They had lunch and went to the park and as they were entering the park, they were surrounded by a flurry of butterflies. Esther still did not make the correlation. And as they were leaving about 15 minutes later, a little boy, an oriental boy, looked to be about two or three years old, had found a little pigeons feather on the ground - and he was holding it at his full extension of his arm running toward Esther to show it to her. And it was not until then, that Esther realized that in less than one hour of ours spending 17 seconds together on those three subjects, that the Universe had managed to deliver in DRAMATIC FASHION all three subjects. We encourage you to play this game AND we encourage you to play the game in threes. Because if you play it in one or two, you might be as Esther did and miss it altogether. If you will play this game just a little bit by taking subjects that are of slight interest, but most importantly, subjects that are pure because you have no contradictory thought about them the Universe will proof to you in two or three days time that it is utterly and absolutely and ALWAYS responsive to your vibration.

Process - Meditation [ repeated from AbeSpeak one]
 
Here is the process of meditation that if we were in your physical
places we would utilize: Every day for 10 or 15 minutes, and not for
much more than that, we would sit quietly by ourselves somewhere.
Maybe under a tree, maybe in our car, maybe in the bathroom,
someplace where we would not be interrupted.
We would do our best to shut down our physical senses. In other
words, we would draw the curtains if it is bright. We would close our
eyes. We would put ourselves in a place where there is not much
sound. We really would not even play music. Some people play music,
but even that can be distracting in nature. Something like the
ticking of a clock, or the dripping of a faucet, or the trickling of
a waterfall, something of that nature can be very soothing. And some
music falls into that same category. But it must be something that
does not stimulate thought.
And we would focus inward, even on our breathing. We would be
consciously aware of air in, and we would be consciously aware of air
out. We would concentrate on long breaths in, and we would
concentrate on long breaths out. We would breathe air in, and when we
thought it was all our lungs would hold, we would bring still more
in. And when we think it is still all our lungs could hold we would
breathe more air in. And then, at a place of full expansion of lungs,
we would take a long, slow, delicious time to let the air out. And
our intention would be nothing more than being in this moment, and
being consciously aware of breathing. We would let it be our fullest
responsibility. Not fixing breakfast, not combing hair, not wondering
how someone is doing, not thinking about yesterday, not worrying
about tomorrow, not focusing on anything in this moment except air
in, and air out.
Now, during this process, within 2 or 3 days of doing it, you're
going to begin to feel a detachment from your physical experience. A
very common thing that you will feel is a sort of numbing sensation.
Some describe that they cannot tell their toe from their nose. Some,
if their eyes are closed, and we recommend that, may begin to see
movement of light around under their eyelids, or even flashes of
color.
There is no right or wrong in this process of meditation. There is
nothing that you should be reaching for. This is a state of allowing.
This is a state where, for just a few moments, you stop running the
show. You stop trying to make anything happen. This is your time of
allowing. This is your time when you are saying unto your maker, unto
your Source Energy, unto your Inner Being, unto your God... whatever
you're wanting to call it, this is your time of saying, "Here I be,
in a state of allowing." And what am I allowing? I'm allowing Source
Energy to flow purely through me.
15 minutes a day of that effort will change your life. Because it
will put you in the state of allowing the Energy that is natural to
you to flow. You'll feel better in the moment. You'll feel more
energized when you come out of it.
You may spend 14 minutes before you achieve any state of detachment.
You might not ever be consciously aware that you've achieved any
state of detachment. It doesn't matter, you are making enormous
progress as you allow yourself to be.
A big benefit that you'll notice, right away, is that things that
you've been wanting will begin showing up. "Now, why is this?
Abraham, I didn't sit and intend. I didn't sit and set goals. I
didn't sit and clarify what I want. I didn't tell the Universe what I
wanted. How come 15 minutes of just being will set those kinds of
things in motion?" Because it has always been, ask and it is given.
It has never been "ask and do something right and it is given". It
has never been "ask and get worthy". It is ask and allow.

My Favourite Things

 Start a new game that says, "What I like most about this is... and my favorite thing about
this is.. My favorite thing about my house is..and my favorite thing
about my yard is... and my favorite thing about my work is..and my
favorite thing about my mate is, and my favorite thing about my body is..."
In other words, if you start selectively sifting and amplifying your
favorite parts of what is, now what is is serving as a very stable
platform of creating more that will please you.  Leave out the thing
that says, "...and my most unfavorite part is..."
So you're beating the drum of your favorite parts and then you're
filling in around what is that is your favorite with, "Wouldn't it be
nice if... and wouldn't it be nice if... and wouldn't it be nice if..."
And now the majority of your vibration is about your favorite parts of
what is and your favorite ideas of what is soon to come and now your
experience -- we promise it as soon as the first day you do it -- is
changing to what you want instead of changing to more of the same

Practice

We do not ask you to look at something that is black and call it white. We do not ask you to see something that is not as you want it to be and pretend that it is. What we ask you to do is practice moving your gaze. Practice changing your perspective. Practice talking to different people. Practice going to new places. Practice sifting through the data for the things that feel like you want to feel and using those things to cause you to feel a familiar place. In other words, we want you to feel familiar in your joy. Familiar in your positive expectation, familiar in your knowing that all is well, because this Universe will knock itself out giving you evidence of that Well-being once you find that place.
